Cosmetic products are an integral part of our everyday life. They include liquid soaps, perfumes, deodorants, creams and make-up. Since the new regulation for cosmetic products (VKos 2017) became effective, new requirements have been in force for the quality assurance of omnipresent everyday companions. Microbiological quality control is now mandatory. In addition to microbiological analyses according to ISO standards for cosmetics, INTERLABOR has extensive expertise in the quantitative determination of ingredients and allergen analysis:

  • Microbiological determination according to specification recommendation ISO 17516
  • Preservative challenge test category A and B according to ISO 11930
  • Allergenic fragrances according to EU cosmetics directive (24 substances & 2 natural extracts)
  • Furocoumarins according to the specifications of the Swiss regulation for cosmetic products (VKos)
  • Qualitative and quantitative determination of ingredients (for example essential oils, preservatives, dyes, active ingredients)
  • Detection of aldehydes
  • Detection of residues especially when using natural raw materials
